Your Local Roofer in Darlington

Darlington is home for DG Roofing Services. Daz has been roofing across the town for over 30 years, and a huge share of our work comes from repeat customers and their neighbours, friends and family here in DL1, DL2 and DL3.

Being based in the town means we can usually get out to look at a roof within 24 hours, and respond quickly when something goes wrong — from a single slipped tile in Cockerton to a full re-roof in Hummersknott.

Roofs we see in Darlington

Victorian & Edwardian terraces

Older terraces around the town centre, North Road and Bank Top often have slate roofs, shared chimneys, valleys and rear offshoots with flat roofs — all areas where leaks commonly start.

Inter-war & post-war semis

Many 1930s–1960s homes are now on their original or second roof covering, with mortar-bedded ridges and verges that are ideal candidates for a Manthorpe dry fix upgrade.

Extensions & garages

Flat-roofed garages and kitchen extensions across Darlington are some of the most common jobs we do — re-covering in EPDM, GRP or felt, or converting to pitched.

Dry Ridge & Dry Verge Specialists

Crumbling mortar on your ridge and gable ends is the No.1 cause of loose tiles we see in Darlington. We strip it out and fit a Manthorpe dry ridge and dry verge system — every tile mechanically fixed, no more repointing, built to BS 5534. They go together, but we do each on its own too.

First Class Tradesman

“He came to see the job as quickly as he could, gave me a price and did the job the next day. He turned up on time, sent photographs of progress, and gave me a very honest appraisal of the condition of my roof. I would absolutely recommend him.”

Excellent roofer highly recommended

“We had water getting into our extension and noticed our ridge tiles were loose too. D G Roofing came out, knew exactly what the problem was straight away, and gave us a really reasonable quote. They were back just a couple of days later to get started, and even fixed a couple of small things they spotted along the way — all within the original price. Absolutely delighted with the work; I'd have no hesitation in recommending them!”

“Very pleased by the work completed, which was replacement ridge tiles using a dry ridge system and sorting out an issue with water drainage into the gutters. We were kept up to date on the job timing beforehand. The DG team was great to deal with. The job was completed promptly within 3 working days. The DG team made sure that the site was left clean and tidy. The price for the job was very competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to use DG Roofing services again if I have any more issue with my roof.”

Repair Leak in Pitched Roof

“The lads rang up this morning, asked for some photos and diagnosed the problem straight away. Came out the same day, completed the job in no time at all. Both a friendly bunch of lads, showed photos of before and after the work (too high up to see myself) and went through everything in detail. They offered various solutions and gave a great price. I’d absolutely recommend 10/10!”
