Your Local Roofer in Richmond

We cover Richmond, Catterick, Scotch Corner and the villages of lower Swaledale. A DL11 customer told us the problem was "quickly identified", they were quoted the next day for a full re-roof, and work started the following day — a Saturday.

The area's stone cottages, period town houses and exposed rural properties demand roofers who know traditional materials as well as modern systems.

Roofs we see in Richmond

Stone & slate

Many homes have heavy stone or slate roofs with traditional leadwork and chimneys.

Exposed rural sites

Wind and weather on higher ground make secure ridges, verges and flashings essential.

Outbuildings

Barns, stores and garages re-roofed or repaired in suitable materials.

Dry Ridge & Dry Verge Specialists

Crumbling mortar on your ridge and gable ends is the No.1 cause of loose tiles we see in Richmond. We strip it out and fit a Manthorpe dry ridge and dry verge system — every tile mechanically fixed, no more repointing, built to BS 5534. They go together, but we do each on its own too.

Highly Recommended

“The problem was quickly identified and they measured up and quoted the next day for a full reroof. The price was agreed and they were able to start the following day — a Saturday. The work was very neat and they were very tidy workers.”

Excellent roofer highly recommended

“We had water getting into our extension and noticed our ridge tiles were loose too. D G Roofing came out, knew exactly what the problem was straight away, and gave us a really reasonable quote. They were back just a couple of days later to get started, and even fixed a couple of small things they spotted along the way — all within the original price. Absolutely delighted with the work; I'd have no hesitation in recommending them!”

“Very pleased by the work completed, which was replacement ridge tiles using a dry ridge system and sorting out an issue with water drainage into the gutters. We were kept up to date on the job timing beforehand. The DG team was great to deal with. The job was completed promptly within 3 working days. The DG team made sure that the site was left clean and tidy. The price for the job was very competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to use DG Roofing services again if I have any more issue with my roof.”

Repair Leak in Pitched Roof

“The lads rang up this morning, asked for some photos and diagnosed the problem straight away. Came out the same day, completed the job in no time at all. Both a friendly bunch of lads, showed photos of before and after the work (too high up to see myself) and went through everything in detail. They offered various solutions and gave a great price. I’d absolutely recommend 10/10!”
